General Price List 

The Mull Funeral Home and Cremation Services is PROUD of the services and merchandise we offer to those that call upon us AND for the licenses to practice our trade that we have EARNED. Our prices are based upon the recommendation of our accounting firm in order to: remain profitable, maintain our facilities (overhead) to our standards, satisfy the request to pay inordinately high taxes, and to pay fees in order to remain in compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations that are specific to our trade.

These prices are effective as of: January 28, 2019 but are subject to change without notice.

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

Our professional service charge includes, but is not limited to: counseling; 24 hour/day availability; conducting the arrangements conference; planning the funeral; consulting with family and clergy; shelter of remains; obtaining, preparing and filing of necessary notices, necessary authorizations, consents, and permits; coordinating with the cemetery, crematory, or other third parties; assistance following selected services and final disposition. In addition, this fee includes a proportionate share of our basic overhead costs relative to our facility such as insurance, maintenance, and utility costs, secretarial and administrative costs, and equipment and inventory expenses.

This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. Embalming is a chemical process which provides temporary sanitation of the body and arrests certain health hazards. Within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, only a Licensed Funeral Director may perform this procedure.

All Charges are for Local Use (within 30 mile radius of the funeral home). Additional charge for over 30 miles is $3.00/mile

Use of viewing/visitation room(s) per day or portion thereof including but not limited to family room(s) and reception area. Our services include set-up of viewing/visitation area; placement of casketed remains; display of floral arrangements; supervision and attendance during the viewing/visitation. (In lieu of funeral home facilities all necessary equipment and additional staff for viewing/visitation held elsewhere, such as at a church or residence)

We offer to the families we serve the opportunity to spend private time with their loved one prior to inviting the general public to participate in the advertised calling and ceremony time. We offer this service at no charge.

Use of ceremony room(s) per day or portion thereof including but not limited to family room(s) and reception area. Our services include coordinating and supervision and attendance of the funeral ceremony by a funeral director, and staff to assist. (In lieu of funeral home facilities all necessary equipment and additional staff for ceremony held elsewhere, such as at a church or residence)

Use of ceremony room(s) per day or portion thereof including but not limited to family room(s) and reception area. (In lieu of funeral home facilities all necessary equipment and additional staff for ceremony held elsewhere, such as at a church or residence)

Our charge includes: Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff and Overhead; Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home; Embalming. It does not include the charge for Facilities, Funeral Director, Staff, and Equipment for any viewing/visitation/ceremony prior to forwarding remains.

Our charge for an immediate burial (without ceremony) includes: Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff and Overhead; Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home; and Local Transportation to Cemetery                                        

(The price of the casket you have selected from our offerings will be added to the above cost of Immediate Burial)

If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering).

Our charge for a Direct Cremation, without any ceremony, includes: Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff and Overhead; Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home; Shelter of Remains; Transportation to Crematory; Returning Cremated Remains in a Temporary Container.
