Catherine Marguerite Mull, 98, of Phoebe Berks Village, formerly of Ruscombmanor Twp., died in the evening hours Thursday, January 3, 2013, of natural causes in the Phoebe Berks Health Care Center.

She was the widow of Frank S. Mull, who died September 17, 2000.

Born in West Leesport, August 4, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Harry H. & Annie E. (Boyer) Rothermel.

She had worked as a pretzel twister for Bachman Bakery, and later along with her husband owned and operated Mull’s Food Market in Reading until 1963.  She retired in 1979 from Western Electric.

While a resident at Phoebe, she was well known as an avid quilter and also as the “teddy bear” lady.

She is survived by her children: Georgia L., wife of Bruce A. Stauffer, Scotland, CT; Leon T., husband of RoseEllen Mull, Ruscombmanor Twp.; and Steven D., husband of Frederica R. Mull, Ruscombmanor Twp.; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great grandson, also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2012 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Phoebe Berks Village, 1 Reading Drive, Wernersville, PA  19565, with the Rev. Dr. John E. Fureman, officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.  Friends may call Wednesday from 10 AM until time of service at the Chapel.
