Dennis L. Witmer, 63, of Womelsdorf, passed away in the morning hours Saturday, March 12, 2016, of natural causes in the MS Hershey Medical Center. For 16 years, he was the husband of Jennifer J. (Howe) Witmer. Born August 26, 1952, in Ephrata, he was a son of Mamie I. (Forry) Witmer, Womelsdorf, and the late Quinton L. Witmer. He had worked for 28 years as a bricklayer for the former North American Refractories, Newmanstown. A member of Zion United Church of Christ, Womelsdorf, he was also a member of the Cushion Peak Rod and Gun Club.  Dennis was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was the past President of the Berks Bassmasters Club.  He also had raced at Big Diamond Raceway. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children: Tina M. (Shawn) Gerhart, Lebanon, Amber J. Witmer, Florida; step-children: Harold (Char) Trimble Jr., Ephrata, Skip (Laura) Trimble, Denver, and Kyle D. Jones, Shillington; siblings: Gary G. (Lori) Witmer, Rehrersburg, Gerald L. Witmer, Womelsdorf; and grandchildren: Charisma Rosa, Olivia Gerhart, Nicholas Shimp, Hunter Trimble, and Jasper Trimble. Relatives and friends may visit with the family, Friday, March 18, 2016, at 5 PM, in the social hall of Zion UCC, 12 S. 2^nd St., Womelsdorf, PA  19567.
