Donald G. Lanning, 59, of Lower Heidelberg Twp., passed away in the evening hours Sunday, April 23, 2017, of natural causes in the MS Hershey Medical Center. Born October 18, 1957, in Depew, New York, he was a son of the late Donald L. & Mary A. (Wandell) Lanning. He is survived by his companion: Nicole Long; the mother of his children: Florance V. Lanning; his children: Geoffrey M. (Tiffany) Lanning and Megan M. Lanning; his siblings: Ronald “Dean”, Mark, and Joe Lanning; and Nicole's daughter: Danielle. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

“We, who remain to carry on, should not think of our shipmates as departed from us, but rather as having been transferred to a celestial ship or station where we hope all of us be shipmates again.”
