Frederica R. Mull, 72, of Ruscombmanor Twp., passed away in the morning hours Wednesday, October 26, 2016, of natural causes in her residence. She was the wife of Steven D. Mull. Born December 12, 1943, in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Frederick Yost and Agnes P. (nee’ DeSordi) Yost Earley. Freddi attended Fountain Hill High School, graduating from Whitehall High School, Allentown.  She also attended Bloomsburg State College, graduating from Kutztown State College with EED in 1967, and later earned her MSED.  A member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Oley, Freddi was a teacher in various elementary schools.  For the last 20 years, she had worked for the Oley Valley School District.  Freddi loved teaching and had very fond memories of her career, both of students and fellow faculty friends.  Her most memorable teaching experience was teaching elementary school at a private Lutheran Church School in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and had the unique experience of watching her own children grow and assimilate within a completely foreign environment, as they were enrolled in the same school where she taught. Freddi was known for her annual Christmas cookie assortments, most of which she baked from family recipes and shared with her family and friends.  She was a great cook, an avid reader, and upon her retirement learned to hand quilt.  Her first completed and exhibited quilt garnered a blue ribbon at the Oley Fair, and she continued quilting until the summer of this year. She loved her pets, snorkeling, and driving fast cars, having spent 2 years competing in SCCA solo and class road racing.  Needless to say, her family always came first and she loved them dearly. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Matthew F. (Carlene) Mull, Macungie, and Rebecca S. (Robert) King, Royersford; her siblings: Sandra (D. Stephen) Collins, Bridgton, ME, and Carol (Kenneth) Weir, Hatboro, PA; and by her grandchildren: Samantha M., Gabrielle C., and Alexandra E. Mull. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 10:30 AM from Friedens Lutheran Church, 1076 Memorial Hwy., Oley, PA  19547, with the Rev. Donna M. House, officiating.  Private burial will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.  Relatives and friends may call Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of service at the church. At the request of the family, kindly omit flowers.  In lieu of flowers contributions in Freddi’s memory may be made to her Church at the above address, or the Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA  19604. The Mull Funeral Home, Womelsdorf is assisting the family. www.mullfh.com
