Donald J. Bertram, 84, of Womelsdorf, passed away in the early morning hours Sunday, February 26, 2017, of natural causes in Berks Heim. He was the husband of Marie M. (nee’Moyer) Bertram. Born June 7, 1932, in Schubert, he was a son of the late Clarence & Stella (nee’Hettinger) Bertram. A veteran of the Korean War, having served in the Army, he was a member of Host Church.  He also was a member of the Womelsdorf Fire Company, the Womelsdorf Rod & Gun, the Max Schaeffer Post 6558 VFW, the Newmanstown Athletic Assn., and the Marion Rod & Gun.  He has worked for Quaker Alloy, Myerstown for 36 years until his retirement. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Janell K., wife of Chris Boyer, Newmanstown, his step-grandchildren, Samantha & Cody Boyer, and by his sister, LaRue, widow of Kenneth Hartman, West Lawn. Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 11 AM from the Mull Funeral Home, 27 E. High St., Womelsdorf, with the Rev. Stephen E. Hollinger, officiating.  Interment will be in Bern Church Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
