Mark R Witmer

Mark R. Witmer, 77, of Myerstown passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Barbara L. (Yeingst) Witmer who died on February 6, 2007. Born in Lebanon on April 12, 1941 a son of the late Mark P. Witmer and the late Anna Catherine (Garrett) Showers. He worked many years at Ray Mark Asbestos in Manheim and retired from Manheim Auto Auction in 2017. Mark was active in numerous community clubs and organizations but especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's  sporting events. He is survived by two sons, Mitchell L. Witmer husband of Vicki, Newmanstown and Brian K. Witmer, Sr. husband of Christie, Ephrata; a daughter, Lisa A. wife of Scott Snyder, Robesonia; siblings, Mike, Ronnie, Ray, Linda, Sandy, Bonnie, Ricky, Cheryl Ann, Kim, and Leroy; seven grandchildren, Brandy, Michelle, Brian, Jr., Colt, Dalton, Crystal, and Marshall; and six great-grandchildren, Anthony, Matthew, Hailie, Logan, Lucas, and Olenna. He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Witmer. Funeral Services will be held at Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 402 E. Penn Ave., Robesonia on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. William Weiser, officiating. Friends may call at Cole Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Millbach Community Cemetery.
