Obituary

Benjamin J. Coco, 88, of Marion Twp. passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Barbara A. (Gaidos) Coco.

Born in Reading on December 2, 1933 a son of the late Salvatore and Nancy Coco.

He was a graduate of Reading High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956.

Benjamin was employed and retired from the Reading Eagle Company with over 50 years of service as manager of the accounting department.

He enjoyed being outdoors, taking walks, and gardening,

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Jeannette A. widow of Keith Youst, and Judy A. wife of Vincent Wolf; siblings, John and Lucy; grandchildren, Maria, William, Nicholas, Taryn, Amber, Alexa, and Ariel; 14 great grandchildren; step-sons, Scott Mell husband of Cindy, Mark Mell companion of Paul, Richard Mell, and Donald Mell husband of Kim; step-grandchildren, Sandy and Anthony; 3 step-great grandchildren; and 4 step-great great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sisters, Ellen and Mary; and a brother, Anthony.

A private interment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  

Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604.
