Gregory Mark Hawley, 39, of Harrisburg and formerly of South Heidelberg Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
Born in Tyler, TX on May 5, 1984, he was the oldest son of Christine M. (Maun) Hawley and the late Mark A. Hawley.
Greg was an amazing father to his nine year old son Liam. He would call him Bubba and many other endearing goofy names. Greg was quick to tell a dad joke and flash his big, beautiful smile. He loved his family, was always willing to lend a hand, was a hard worker, had a passion for cars and tinkering, enjoyed playing video games, and above all, adored his son.
Greg was a 2002 graduate of Conrad Weiser High School and attended the Automotive Training Center in Exton, PA.
He worked in the automotive and locomotive industries, and recently was pursuing a dream of opening his own business.
In addition to his mother, Christine, and son, Liam, Greg is survived by his siblings Catherine Chapman (Barry), Kevin Hawley (Sophie Goodman), Matthew Hawley, Theresa Hawley, Elizabeth Hawley, and Mariann Hawley; niece, Paisley Martin; nephew, Emerson Hawley; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 10:30am at St. Francis de Sales Church, 321 N. Church St., Robesonia.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to benefit Greg's son. Checks may be made payable to "Christine Hawley" and mailed to Cole Funeral Home, 402 E. Penn Ave., Robesonia, PA 19551.
