Joan C. Boyd

Joan Claire Boyd, age 80, formerly of Ft. Washington and Oreland, PA passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center in Wernersville.

Her husband of 54 years, Robert P. Boyd, Jr. died on May 31, 2017.

She was born in Abington, PA on February 17, 1943 a daughter of the late John R. and Irma (Kaul) Ford.

She was a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. 

Joan was most recently attending Trinity Lutheran Church in Robesonia and her home Church was Christ Lutheran Church in Oreland.

She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, cooking with her late husband, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. 

Joan last worked for Janssen Pharmaceuticals in Raritan, NJ and previously was an Administrative Assistant for Johnson & Johnson  (McNeil) in Springhouse, PA.

She is survived by two daughters, Heather Joan Hanley (Brent), of Ocean View, NJ, and Robin L. Kline (Russell), of Wernersville; and four grandchildren, Jack Hanley, Allison Hanley, Brooke Hanley, and Lindsay Kline. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Kraus and a brother, Kenneth Ford.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 11:00am at Whitemarsh Memorial Park Chapel, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Abington.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:30 to 11:00am at Whitemarsh Memorial Park Chapel.
