Joseph M. Boess

Joseph M. Boess, age 85, of Womelsdorf passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 at the Lebanon Nursing & Rehab.

His wife, Elaine M. (Cornwell) Boess died October 7, 2019.

He was born in Philadelphia on November 13, 1940 a son of the late Joseph G. and Marie (Senske) Boess.

Joseph proudly served in the U.S. Army for 26 years.

He retired from the Wernersville State Hospital in the maintenance department.

He was a member of St. Francis DeSales Church, the Womelsdorf VFW, and the AmVets.

He is survived by his children, Denise E. Kruse (Toby), Elaine M. Roberge (Thomas), and Joseph E. Boess (Lisa); 12 grandchildren, Cristina, Michelle, Curtis, Cassandra, Kayla, Joseph, Skyler, Merritt, Brent, Nikki, Savannah, and Cheryl; and 27 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, William J. Boess in 2004; a brother, Edward; and two sisters, Marie and Elizabeth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 10:30 am at St. Francis DeSales Church, 320 N. Church St. Robesonia, PA 19551.

A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Cole Funeral Home, Robesonia.

Interment with military honors will follow at Womelsdorf Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Francis DeSales Church at the above address.
