Joyce E (Butt) Frederick

Joyce E. Frederick, 87, formerly of Newmanstown, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center.

She was born February 26, 1936, in Lebanon County to the late James and Pearl (Good) Butt.

Joyce was the widow of John H. Frederick who died in February 2011.  Together they enjoyed 58 years of memorable times: camping, parties with friends, weekends at the river boating, always with their children and four legged friends beside them.

Joyce, along with her husband, gave tirelessly to their community with their involvement in the fire company and ambulance association.  She continued her legacy of care first through her job as a CNA at Cedar Haven and after retirement caring for her father, mother, and husband.

Joyce was loved and will be missed by her son, Terry Frederick (Beth), her daughter, Cheryl Miller, son in law, Kenneth Achey, seven grandchildren, & eleven great-grandchildren.

She will be met in heaven by her parents, husband, daughter, Bonnie Achey, grandchild, Lindsey Frederick, brother James Butt, Jr., and son in law Terry Miller.

Services for Joyce will be held Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11:30 AM, at the Chapel of Phoebe Berks Village, 1 Reading Dr., Wernersville, PA 19565. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Joyce Frederick Memorial Fund, Phoebe Berks, 1 Reading Dr., Wernersville, PA  19565.
