Kim S. Peckenschneider

Kim Sarae Peckenschneider, age 57, of Newmanstown passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon.

She was the loving wife of 37 years to Michael R. Peckenschneider, Sr.

She was born in Lebanon on June 21, 1966 a daughter of Kenneth and Dori (Moyer) Keppley, who both survive.

Kim was a 1984 graduate of Conrad Weiser High School and a graduate of Alvernia University.

She last worked as a Home Health Aide for the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation. She previously worked at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility as a Corrections Officer and prior to that as a TSA Agent for the Department of Homeland Security.

 In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by a daughter, Kelsey Dru Clark; sisters, Rebecca Weaber (Nathan), and Elizabeth Kreiser; nephews, Chase and Ryan; a niece, Emily; and her mother-in-law, Sheila widow of Larry Peckenschneider.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael R. Peckenschneider, Jr. on December 6, 2015; her maternal grandparents, Grace and Harry Moyer; and her paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Debra Keppley.

Kim will be fondly remembered for being a dedicated caring person who would do anything for anyone in need of a hand. She loved doing artistic crafty things and planting and nurturing plants.

She will also always be remembered as a “mom” to all her children’s friends, she cared for all of them as her own… her house was always the “hangout”. She will be deeply missed and remembered by all of them as if she was their own mom. 

A Celebration of Kim’s Life will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 6:00 to 10:00pm at the Franklin House Tavern, 101 N. Market St., Schaefferstown, PA 17088.
