Margaret L (Curry) Carmichael

Margaret L. Carmichael, 79, of Womelsdorf, and formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana,

passed away in the evening hours Sunday, November 6, 2022.

Margaret married the love of her life, Arthur W. Carmichael, Jr., on September 11, 1965, in S. Portland, Maine, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church.  

He passed away on May 25, 2015, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Born Monday, May 31, 1943, in South Portland, Maine, she was a daughter of the late

Phillip P. & Virginia C. (neé Urbano) Curry.

She is survived by her children:

Karen M. McNear (Lance), Peter A. Carmichael, Daniel J. Carmichael, 

Sylvia A. Wahed (Kamran), & Sharon L. Carmichael Leddy-Smart (Scott); 

Eighteen Grandchildren; Eleven Great-grandchildren; her siblings:

Elizabeth J. Curry, Michael A. Curry, & Ralph U. Curry.

She was predeceased by her grandchildren: 

Alexandrous A. Carmichael & Bently E. Carmichael; four infant Great-Grandchildren; and by two infant siblings.

A visiting hour will be held from 9-10am on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. 

A funeral service will be held at 10am in the chapel. 

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
