Mildred M (Stoehrel) Strickler

Mildred M. Strickler, 101, of Womelsdorf, passed away in the afternoon hours Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in her residence. She was the widow of the late R. Frank Strickler, who died April 28, 1988. Born Thursday, September 11, 1924, in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Irvin H. & Violet I. Stoehrel, née Sink. Mildred was the valedictorian of the Womelsdorf High School class of 1942.  She was a member of the former Zion United Church of Christ, Womelsdorf, where she was a Sunday School Teacher.  In conjunction with her love for animals, she retired from the Willow Creek Animal Hospital having been their bookkeeper for many years. She is survived by her sons: Franklin S. & Steven H. Strickler. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM, from the Mull Funeral Home, Womelsdorf, with the Rev. Dr.  Wayne A.Heintzelman, officiating.  Burial will be private in Womelsdorf Union Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.   www.mullfh.com
