Shirley A (Good) Sechrist

Shirley A. Sechrist, 79, of Womelsdorf, passed away in the evening hours Sunday, September 19, 2021, of natural causes in her residence.

She was the widow of Carl M. Sechrist, who died June 15, 2014.

Born Monday, March 30, 1942, in Womelsdorf, she was the daughter of the late George J. & June M. (neé Uhler) Good.

A 1961 graduate of Conrad Weiser School District, Shirley was a nurse’s assistant for the former Leader Nursing Home, Sinking Spring.  She also worked for the former: Valley Forge Flag Co.; Gloray Knitting Mill; the Conrad Weiser School District; and was a carrier for the Reading Eagle & Merchandiser.

She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church, Womelsdorf.

She is survived by her children: Kevin A. (Patricia) Sechrist, Keith A. (Jacqueline) Sechrist, & Kathy J. (Kevin) Messner; 

seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and by her brother: Russel J. Good.

She was predeceased by her brother, George D. Good.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, at Noon, from Zion Lutheran Church, 300 W. High St., Womelsdorf, with the Rev. June E. Bair, officiating. 

Burial will follow in Womelsdorf Union Cemetery. 

Relatives and friends may call Friday from 10:30 AM until time of service at the church.
