Wynn S Herbine

Wynn S. Herbine, 92, of Womelsdorf, passed away in the evening hours Thursday, November 9, 2023, in the Reading Hospital.

Born Friday, December 5, 1930, in Womelsdorf, he was the son of the late John H. & Mary L. (neé Schenck) Herbine.

A 1949 graduate of Womelsdorf High School, and a 1951 graduate of Central State University, Wynn also served his country by serving in the US Air Force.

A lifetime member of the former Zion United Church of Christ, Womelsdorf, Wynn worked as a shipping clerk for the former North American Refractories. 

He proudly served his community in many capacities while a member of the Womelsdorf Borough Council for over 20 years. 

His memberships included: the American Legion; the Womelsdorf, Newmanstown, Stouchsburg, Robesonia, & Myerstown Fire Companies; the Womelsdorf Rod & Gun; Womelsdorf VFW; & the Newmanstown AA.

He is survived by his sister: Susan (Donald) King, nieces and nephews, and by many friends.

Services for Wynn will be held Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11 AM, at the Mull Funeral Home, Womelsdorf, with the Rev. Mary Etta Mest, officiating.
